A Train Station That Generates Its Own Power

Yulinbei Railway Station, the largest newly constructed station on the Nanning-Zhuhai High Speed Railway's Nanning-Yulin section, features an architectural design resembling a phoenix spreading its wings by the lake.

Inside the station's waiting hall, long steel trusses are neatly arranged across the ceiling, with star-like lights scattered between them. The roof of the station is covered with 2,892 solar photovoltaic panels, which continuously provide energy to power the dazzling "stars."

The distributed photovoltaic power generation project at Yulinbei Railway Station is part of the 2023 Guangxi green transportation pilot program. This is a self-sustaining station that generates its own electricity using solar energy for internal use. With an annual power generation of approximately 1.6 million kWh, it can replace around 479 tons of standard coal annually, saving costs and reducing carbon emissions.
