Ensuring Smooth Return Journeys for Outbound Migrant Workers: Workers’ Daily

 【字体:

On the tenth day of the lunar calendar, the number of outbound migrant workers returning to their workplaces in eastern Henan Province gradually increased. In response, Shangqiu Railway Station has continuously optimized passenger transportation services, improving service quality to facilitate the return journeys of passengers.

The station proactively coordinated with the Shangqiu Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security to accurately grasp the start-up times of various enterprises. Based on the pre-sale status of group tickets, a dedicated waiting area was set up, optimizing the process for passengers entering the station and boarding trains. Young volunteers were stationed at congested areas such as transfer footbridges, elevators, and underpasses to assist. Moreover, there was enhanced promotion and guidance for popular destinations for migrant workers, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. For trains with short stop times and concentrated passenger flows, measures such as advance ticket inspection and validation were taken to accurately determine the boarding time and prevent passengers from missing their trains. Furthermore, safety control measures for passenger transportation were reinforced, including strict implementation of security checks, real-name verification, and ticket validation systems. Inspection efforts for “three products” (explosives, flammables, and dangerous items) were intensified, and a three-person car reception safety protection system was implemented to ensure thorough checks for each train car.

Furthermore, the station organized personnel to strengthen the inspection and maintenance of equipment such as automatic ticket vending machines and station entrance gates to prevent travel disruptions caused by equipment malfunctions. Continuous efforts were made to provide personalized services such as consultation, assistance with luggage, appointment assistance, and lost item retrieval. Train schedule information was dynamically updated on electronic display screens and through broadcast announcements to fully meet the travel needs of migrant workers.
