Chongqing, February 19 (Reported by Chang Biluo and Liu Zhenzhen) - On February 19, at 16:14, train G3729 departed from Chongqingxi Railway Station, carrying 340 migrant workers from Sichuan and Chongqing on their journey back to work.
This train, G3729, marks the first direct train for returning workers launched by Chongqing this year, headed for Guangzhounan Railway Station. As the workers waved goodbye to the platform staff, their smiles were filled with anticipation and hope for their new lives.
It is reported that Chongqing Railway Station actively coordinated with the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau before the Spring Festival holiday, accurately grasping the travel needs of migrant workers. They scientifically allocated transportation capacity, formulated reasonable passenger transport organization plans and emergency plans, and carefully planned entry, waiting, and boarding procedures. Special channels and waiting areas were set up at entry gates, ticket inspection gates, and waiting rooms to ensure smooth entry, waiting, and boarding processes. Party member service teams and youth volunteer teams were formed to provide warm services such as providing consultation, guidance, key assistance, and hot water to the returning workers.
At 15:55, under the guidance of station staff, the workers queued up in an orderly manner through the special channel and arrived at the platform, where they boarded the train and took their seats one by one. A worker named Li Wanhua said, “The railway authority has arranged convenient entry channels and waiting areas for us. This year’s return trip is very comfortable!”
According to officials from Chongqing Railway Station, the station will accurately coordinate with local governments to meet the travel needs of migrant workers and ensure their smooth return to work.
