During the Spring Festival, there have been new changes to the 4349/4350 public welfare “slow train” from Tonghua to Linjiang. The train compartments have been decorated with a festive atmosphere, with windows and walls adorned with the Chinese character “福” (good fortune) and red paper cuttings, creating a joyful and harmonious festive scene. The 4349/4350 train runs on the Yayuan-Dalizi Railway and consists of 4 carriages. It travels a total of 122 kilometers and stops at 9 stations. This train mainly serves villagers along the route of Baishan City and Linjiang City, passing through various towns such as Baishan and Songling. Along the route are rich red tourism resources such as the “Four Defense Battles of Linjiang,” as well as local specialties and delicacies like mountain vegetables, pancakes, and glutinous rice cakes.
Snow-covered Songling is located in Zhenzhumen Village, Huashan Town, Linjiang City, Jilin Province. The village has a simple folk style and exudes a strong Northeastern charm. In winter, the village is covered in white snow, with forests, Dongbei-style houses, and distant mountains creating a picturesque scene, resembling a fairy tale world. This once-obscure village has become popular in recent years, leveraging the popularity of ice and snow tourism.
The Tonghua Nineteenth Car Fleet of Changchun Passenger Transport Depot and characteristic villages along the route have collaborated to create a “boutique tourist route for ‘slow trains’,” supporting local economic development. Train staff display beautiful pictures taken by photography enthusiasts on the train, turning the train into a platform for communication between tourists and villagers along the route, and surrounding passengers with beautiful scenery as soon as they board the train.
