Q1 Import-Export Volume of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Reaches Record High

In the first quarter of this year, the total import and export value through the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the "13+2" provinces and regions surpassed 200 billion RMB, marking a YoY growth of over 10%, reaching a historic high.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor operates with Chongqing as the organisational hub and key nodes in various western provinces and regions. Using a combination of rail, sea and road transport, the corridor reaches ports worldwide via coastal and border ports in regions such as Guangxi and Yunnan. It has established the "13+2" cooperation mechanism, which includes 12 western provinces, Hainan Province, as well as Zhanjiang in Guangdong and Huaihua in Hunan.

Since the release of the "Overall Plan for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor" over five years ago, the corridor has connected to 563 ports in 127 countries and regions, with over 1,250 types of goods transported, further unleashing the foreign trade potential of the central and western regions of China.
