Significant Growth in Import-Export Freight via China-Vietnam Railway in Q1
According to Nanning Customs, there has been a notable increase in the import and export freight transported via the China-Vietnam Railway in Guangxi this year. In the first quarter, the freight volume at the Pingxiang Railway Port reached 183,000 tonnes, a YoY increase of 199.4%, with a freight value of 1.47 billion RMB, up by 179.2%. Notably, goods transported by the China-Vietnam trains accounted for over 60% of this volume.
Currently, the import-export freight at the Pingxiang Railway Port covers 2,078 types of goods, reaching all 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China. The main trading partners are ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. The China-Vietnam trains have effectively supported the export of more "Made in China" products to overseas markets.
